As globalization continues to progress, more than ever people are embracing nomadic lifestyles. While multiple residences are a common way to address this way of life, an increased number of world travelers are calling more kinetic environments their home. As a result architects have been called upon to design mobile living environments such as airplanes and yachts. One such project is the 'Nomad's Loft', a one hundred and fifty foot yacht designed by tec DESIGN, a multi-national firm specializing in large-scale hi-tech projects ranging from urban design and planning, commercial and retail development, to residential and interior design. This vessel is less a means of transportation and more of a moving residence. Mobile communication will also be accomplished via satellite from any and every geographic location as the client plans to spend a large portion of time circumnavigating the globe while at the same time conducting business.
